How many games have you bought that you know you'd truly love the game. But you bought it and found out you can't run it. (cause looking at System Requirements is for chumps.)

For me it'd have to bbeeeeeeeee...

I
Sir, you are being hunted.

Borderlands 2(I still forced my computer to deal with it for 48 hours cause I fuckin' love borderlands man XD)

Sanctum 2

But yet I can run Bioshock Infinite with no problems whatsoever :U

Waht.

Yeah so i'm working through my backlog, so i'm sure there's a few more (like dishonored ; 3 ; (yup, I tested it today. I cannot run Dishonored XD))

What're a few of yours?

I downloaded SR4 on the free weekend then realised I couldn't run it. Think that's about it. Had some issues with Far Cry but I think that can be fixed relatively easy, I just haven't looked into it yet.

The only two games I bought that I couldnt run were State of Emergency and that one Simpsons game. Both of those games came out like in my elementary school days and didn't know that you needed to upgrade PC's to run games. Then I had bought the 9800GT. Torrented games to see if I could run them (Didn't know about CanYouRunIt). Torrented Killingfloor, SaintsRow 3, Alpha Protocol, Clive Barkers Jericho, Dark Souls, Condemned, Burnout Paradise, Dead Space, Skyrim, Fear, Fallout 3, Half Life 2, Stalker, Sleeping Dogs, Spec Ops the line, and Splintercell conviction (Damn! thats alot of torrenting!!!!). Saints Row 3 and Dead Space ran horrible. Spec Ops the Line, and SLeeping dogs ran at bearably playable frame rates. Everything else ran fine. <<< These were the lowest settings as well. Holy shit that 9800 GT was bad. I think the cycle is about to start over again, I pre-ordered Watchdogs and only have a GTX660 until I finally upgrade. The circle of life continues.

Nvidia GeForce 9800 GT? Cause I have one, but I run Dishonored, Burnout Paradise, Deadspace, Half-Life 2, and Sleeping Dogs just fine... Not even at lowest settings, and I only have 4gigs of ram... not a lot by todays standards. Maybe there's another factor throttling you?

Honestly, the entire computer was throttling me. Had an intel pentium chipset that was old as hell, either 500mb or 1gb of Ram, and the motherboard was straight trash. But I didnt get Dishonored until i got my GTX660. Burnout and Half life 2 ran fine though

+1 i use a 9800GT too and it runs smooth on Borderlands 2, SR2, medium on SR4 (big map data can't be held in only 512 VRAM :( ) Dead Space 1/2 any many other "demanding games :) though it grills, gets ~86°C

Well a lot of the $10-$15 games will run on it. EVOland was an exception for some reason though. I do need to get a real PC

mmm well let me see.. lets start by cod ghosts , total war rome 2 , hitman absolution( runs in low settings but looks like shit , and if i get it to medium settings goes down to 20 fps or less) , company of heroes 2 , assassins creed 3 , crysis 3 , BF3 , BF4 , and CoD BO2 (it runs low on some maps).

im just hopping to get a better pc soon ,got really disappointed with total war rome 2 and company of heroes 2 , really wanted to play em so much

my main pc is dying and needs an upgrade, finally moving off of XP, but hey 8 years is a pretty good run, I've been sitting on Sleeping Dogs, Krater, Thief (won) and probably some others which require DX10+ but I was too stupid to check on before hand. Although my laptop can handle divekick... but that's about it.

I held onto XP for a long time, but the move to 7 was well worth it. I was pretty surprised how much I enjoy 7.

I have a 4-year-old Toshiba laptop. Skyrim is playable on it, but all the graphic settings have to be set on Low, and I would have to run it through the HiAlgoBoost port (and possibly a performance/memory ENB as well) with all the Unofficial Patches and low-def texture mods in order to play it with a halfway-decent FPS rate and without a risk of crashing or overheat...(Interestingly I had similar problems with Oblivion when I first got it and ran it on my older Dell desktop because my graphics card on the Dell wasn't good enough, so I needed to run it through OLDblivion to play it. I wouldn't have any problem running Oblivion on my Toshiba without the need for any special software though, since it's an older game.)

I would have LOVED to play Saints Row 4...but it probably wouldn't be as lucky as Skyrim was on my comp.

Well, I bought Skyrim on my old PC and worked with 5/6 fps on lower settings with a mod for "better fps". But, you know, it was an old PC and I already wanted to change it so..

I bought GTA IV (disc copy) at full price when it first came out knowing full well my old PC wouldn't really be able to handle it. Turns out it could run it, just at about 10 to 15 fps at the lowest settings with a bunch of optimization tweaks.

Actually managed to beat the game despite that. Love that game.

The first one being Rome 2: Total war.

Well, that was with my old pc, the game could run, but it crashed when trying to open a big skirmish. Also one uber cheap game told me that i had the wrong physics driver. That game was probably so lame, it was one of the indies no one cared about.

As we speak, im downloading Rome 2 again to test it with my new PC.

Injustice wouldnt work with default settings with my new pc (even though the game sets the options itself), it was soooo laggy. After i removed AA and some other stuff, game worked great except that looked like Injustice: God Among Us N64 Version. but still worked. at the end.

My pc is decent now, but i still need to get my new video card which i think ill be like in a month, i have an old radeon HD 3850.

I can run all games now, but when GTA IV first came out, my old PC couldn't handle it well. I kept playing one area in one resolution, then switching to a lower resolution in the other, kept changing the car density and tweaking small stuff like that throughout the entire playthrough. Played it like that for 50+ freaking hours, and I still loved it. :)
