STAR WARS™: Squadrons

That strongly depends on if you prefer flying through space shooting lasers at other spaceships in singleplayer and multiplayer or mostly walking on solid ground swinging a lightsaber in a singleplayer soulslike. Also...

Squadrons is way too short and pretty much always limiting your choices like which fighter to use etc. And had some pretty annoying scenes, like escaping from an explosion you cause within a big structure.

The story (mostly) and sound effects are really good though.

Fallen Order.
Stick with the old Star Wars space combat sims (or grab 'em if you see 'em) instead of the ripped-out "Battlefront II" mode-turned-standalone product. Those are simply better games.

And Tie Fighter Total Conversion (the game runs on XWA engine) is a blast! :)

If you do decide to grab Fallen Order, the deluxe edition is only cosmetic stuff. I'm a penny pincher when it comes to these kind of things and I myself wouldn't spend the extra buck for a skin or two, however if you don't mind then it's all good. Just pointing out that there isn't an extra level or anything like that.

Fallen Order is a better game, but I still had great time with Squadrons. I'd buy Jedi now and Squadrons later.

Unless you absolutely NEED to scratch that Tie Fighter itch, then definitely get Squadrons (and try some fan remakes of the classic games) :)

Plainly speaking, Squadrons doesn't bring anything to the genre. At all. So there are better flyer games out there for less money.
Fallen Order though is a great game. Good story, great gameplay.
