I was wondering is it possible to upgrade the game you have on steam, specifically I got Dragon Age: Origins on Humble Bundle and wish to upgrade it to Ultimate Edition to get the DLC and expansion, even though I'm not sure why do they even have 2 version when they have the same price

You'd have to buy the ultimate edition unless you wanted to buy the DLC and the expansion which would, I think, cheaper than buying the whole game itself again.

I think you can buy the dlc using bioware points or something. Not quite sure.

I'm not sure. I thought the ultimate edition was the only way of getting them.

Pretty sure you buy it on the Social Bioware site. I had the same issue, I purchased the Digital Deluxe or whatever. Months later the OCD took over and I wanted all DLC so I ended up getting a second copy of the Ultimate Edition. :(

Some games do let you do so, but it appears that Dragon Age: Origins does not appear to be one of those.

EA has some disputes with Steam over stuff, so it's probably unlikely that this will ever change.
