I rather sell and buy cards on the market or trade them with friends only.

You might still try it for trading purposes. Steam Trade Matcher includes the option to only search friends' cards for matches and does not require you to include your inventory in the public listing.

Yes to the question. I also accept something I already have for something I only have one of if my set isn't complete. I figure I'll make the set some day anyway so if I'm missing 1, I might as well miss 2 or if I'm missing 2, I might as well miss 3 for a while etc.

After hundreds of trading, I realized it's quicker to use Chrome Addon to check which one I don't have and buy from the market directly with the shortcuts, and sell the rest which I don't need.
Trading 1:1 is wasting my time now that the Steam Guard is in effect.

I trade 1:1 in any game combinations on my alt and get level 5 (+foil, if it is reasonably priced) sets on main, so… depends, I guess?

Thanks to SteamTrade Matcher, I have made over 200 card sets ready for crafting for the Winter Sale. Kudos to Robou for making it. I post this discussion so that others might join and increase everyone's odds of completing card sets.
