Cake Day? Oops, Forgot! Year in Review

How was your year?

Actually one of better years in my adulthood.

• After 1.5 years of unemployment or short-time jobs/contracts I finally got a stable job.

• My then girlfriend got promoted, as she works in IT departament for an airline - it means free or discounted plane tickets so we finally started to fullfill our dream and travel. Before that we would only sometimes visit friends in other cities in our country, now in one year span we already visited Milan for awesome 1 week holidays, Rome for 2.5 day, Dublin and Belfast for quick 3day trip, Venice carvival, in August we're going to Prague for weekend, and in autumn we plan on either Lisbon or Sicily.

• I proposed and she said yes! well actually we were sort-of fake engaged just to stop our families from asking questions, but now when I actually earn monies I did it the right way - with a nice romantic trip, fancy sapphire and diamonds ring, full surprise etc ;p. We are planning to get married in 1.5 or 2.5 years (either on our 10th or 11th anniversary), we won't have wedding, just marriage and maybe some short dinner for closest family and in the meantime we set up saving fund where we donate 200-250$ per month to save up for our honeymoon. We dream of going for 1month long trip to Japan right after marriage.

Other than that calm and happy house-life. Kitties are healthy and demand lots of attention all the time, I still try to cook a lot and prepare home dinners or lunchboxes for my fiancee, our alcoholic neighbour who caused us a lot of troubles in the past finally got evicted, only bad thing in the last year is that I gained even more weight and should really start trying to lose some of it ;p
