Your motherboard has the required PCI Express x16 slot, and your PSU is more than enough, so you're all set.
I too have a GTX 970 (an EVGA one), and can confirm that it's a sexy beast!

Hello guys
I wanted to upgrade my GPU (current GPU R9 270X Sapphire Dual-X 4GB) to Nvidia GTX 970 G1 Gaming Windforce, cos of....reasons (''the way we MAKE you PAY'' obviously)
My current CPU is i7 4790 Quad 3.6GHz
8GB Ram Kingston HyperX 1866 MHz
1TB HDD
700W PSU Cooler Master
And what worries me is my Motherboard Gigabyte H97M-HD3
My question is this: Does my current Motherboard support/fit the GPU I intend to purchase?
