Persona games are standalone ones. The brawling version of 5 is a sequel to P5R, so you're not missing anyhing, if you want to start with P5R. (I think there are summon callbacks between the games, so only reference / cameo caliber things)
Edit: so there was P5. P5R continued it, and was developed basically the same time as P5S. So P5S is a sequel to P5, but it ignores P5R, so you're still great by playing only Royal. It's getting silly :D

It always amuses me that anytime I feel a new Choice is a miserable pile of whatsit, I come here to find a good chunk of posts proclaiming to be the greatest bundle ever. It just reaffirms that my taste in games vastly different from the norm ๐คทโโ๏ธ. So congrats to the people who feel they've hit the jackpot this month, but it's a hard pass for me.
From my perspective, P5R is the only game I'm mildly interested in. Sandrock looks OK, but would probably just sit in my backlog. I'd be more interested in Banishers if it wasn't from Don't Nod - they have great writers and voice actors, but I feel like they forget about actually making their games fun to play (which many of the reviews claim is exactly the case with this one). I'd almost certainly never touch the rest.

I looked down on people who idled for cards for a long time. But recently I decided that I have so many games in my backlog that I'm unlikely to play that I might as well get something out of them. If I can sell enough of those stupid cards to turn them into a game or two that I really do want to play, then why not?
Those tags you list really have more to do with the games I've won here recently - if you look at my wins you'll see that I've beaten nearly everything I've won. I actually don't care for rhythm games much - that one is coming from Beat Hazard, which IS one of my favorite games, but only has that tag because it's music-based (despite not having a damned thing to do with rhythm).
My actual favorites are tactics, RPGs, strategy, and old-school shmups.

I hear you with the card idling - I started in September 2024, with about 3k games needing idling. The foils that dropped gave me a nice boost for my steam wallet. Although I like crafting badges I feel it is another level of crazy to try to badge foils. And yes, games are subjective so thank god there are so many devs out there making games that have so many different stories and mechanics. Something for us all. Hope September choice will bring you a bunch that are right up your alley :)

I've given up on calling bundles the "worst ever" because there's usually one or two games in there that I'm interested in.
This one has three. Four if we count P5R despite me disliking the franchise. The others are in genres I have absolutely no interest in.

Amazing bundle! Every one of these is a redeem for me, and Iโve had P5R on my Wishlist for ages (Iโve finished the non-Royal version, very much looking forward to playing through this edition). And B:GONE sounds like a pretty solid title that I would enjoy. And I know not everyone would like the cozy games in this monthโs line-up, but they are perfect games to play in bed on the Steam Deck. One of the best Choice months in ages!

I felt like Banishers was going to be added to Choice and lo and behold. That combined with Sandrock and Wildmender made this a no brainer. I don't particularly care about P5R, but a friend did tell me that it is way less grindy than P3P and P4G, so maybe I'll give it a go as well. Lil Gator was also on my wishlist, and the remaining three games I'll probably try at some point. Gotta actually look into what type of games they are, which I'll do today.

It doesn't say so, but My Time At Sandrock actually DOES have cards. I have 4/10 as I already own Sandrock for a couple of years in EA.

i honestly would buy this JUST for "my time at sandrock" cuz my time at portia was one of my fav games ever. highly recommend for anyone who likes animal crossing or stardew valley type games

First choice I've bought this year. Banishers and My Time at Sandrock make it worth it for me, but it's even nicer getting Wildmender, Tiny Terry Turbo Trip which I believe I'll enjoy. I've never played a persona but I know there's a huge fandom and that love this game, so I believe I'll keep it to give it a try in the future:)

I guess I missed the update last month that they're putting expiration dates on -all- games now?
That fucking blows. Also sad that I just picked up Persona 5 a month ago cause I wagered it'd be a long while before it came to the humble bundle...
Between the recent expiration on all games, and them saying they won't honor keys after two years while also struggling to maintain keys for the bundles they've already sold... I think it might be finally time to consider cancelling my subscription. While there might be a good deal this month or that, I don't want to support these anti consumer business practices.

PS+ isn't technically free as it require a paid subscription at all times to play it. Sure, it low cost initally but it racks up fast after a few months of continous subscription. Plus, that copy is stuck forever on Playstaion which could be good or bad depending on the person. I would rather pay a small price to permanently own my games.

I know, but I have a yearly subscription atm... So I "have" the game now... I rarely replay games, so If I would finish it before the end of the year, I would be fine with that... Also my current PC would not be able to play Banishers anyway... ๐

I was also like you, had a yearly subscription plan to PS + (when it didn't have multiple tiers).
Later, I found that I lack time to finish playing all those claimed monthly games and didn't renew my subscription due to 2 reasons:
1) The constant tug of war between juggling time to finish IRL stuff and finish the game before the subscription runs out.
2) WTF do I need to pay to go online in my multiplayer games???
In the end, I ditched the PS ecosystem and lived the Steam life. Let's just say I like paying just my internet bill to go online in my fav multiplayer games.

Yes, the coupons people get there can't be transferred, the just sit in the coupons section in their profiles. The generic codes ObsidianSpire mentions were like the "get an annual for cheaper this May" code, that you could enter at the checkout.
