Somewhere, deep (ok, not THAT deep) on imgur, I have buried an image with a key to PID. If you choose to accept this puzzle, you'll have a chance at that key.

-In order to play, you must arrange the seven letters on each image in order to complete the imgur url, as in: imgur.com/XxXxxXX
-Each imgur link will bring you to the next image. Each puzzle will be slightly harder than the previous.
-Eventually you will find the hidden key. The first to get to the key is the winner.

Pay attention to capitalization, and mind your lowercase L's and uppercase I's!
Once the winner has redeemed the key, please post the final imgur link as proof, to let others know the key is taken.

Good luck!

Congrats to Chour for winning the puzzle!
In case anyone is interested in seeing the different puzzles:

Level 3: http://imgur.com/SUxS254
Level 4: http://imgur.com/KoIoeJV

And for those who attempted it, I have other free steam keys so I might make more of these in the future.

If I didn't own PID, I would do it. I love Imgur, and I love this idea. :3

823543 different combinations in the first image alone. Thanks, but no thanks lol!

Don't give up that easily! At one guess a second it would only take a maximum of a little under 229 hours to figure it out.
But yeah, random guessing might not be the best way to go.

Interesting idea so here's a bump, but I already have the game and I spend way too much time on imgur/ic already.

Did you try putting them in the opposite order you had them?

Yes, and also upper/lowering the confused letter

I don't know if it helps, but to eliminate any possible confusion, only one of the letters for that puzzle is lowercase. The rest are all uppercase.

After looking at the pics, the most difficult for me is still number 2. I thought it was population (less to more). I also checked population density :/ I still don't know the criteria :(

You were close! It is population, but more to less. The hint was the little people walking at the bottom of the image. If you follow the direction they're walking, there's more, then gradually fewer. Wikipedia is definitely your friend on that one, as you have to make sure its population by city proper. I'll be making another one of these in the near future, so you'll have another chance if you'd like to try again.

What... ?? According with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_urban_areas_by_population it would be xSSU245, not SUxS254... Now I'm really confused .What year do you use to research your data?

Also, well... I had problems with the first image too...

I went by city proper, as opposed to urban areas. The problem with population by urban area is that what counts as an urban area is somewhat subject to interpretation.
Going by city proper seemed a bit more tidy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cities_proper_by_population
And as for the first image, it was meant to reflect the classic colors of the rainbow (ROY G BIV) Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet.

Ok thanks for the explanation. I suppose pics 1 and 2 were open to several interpretations :)
And respect to the rainbows, it's exactly the same thing... :\ Rainbow colors are the visible spectrum of light^^ (a different thing is that people draws them how they like the more)

No problem! I plan on making the next one a bit less open to interpretation. I realize that was a bit of a problem with the puzzles. And yes, you're absolutely right about the spectrum but imgur uses seven letters for the urls so I figured I'd just go for the seven rainbow colors people usually pick out, instead of using the wavelengths or anything of the sort (though naturally they'd be in order anyway). In any case, I hope you try out the next one! I'm going to put a little more work into it, and think it out a little more in advance.
