What games in the recent weeks havent had card drops disabled that is directly added from steam store?
I havent seen any game thats not promotional license with card disabled, pretty sure I added them all.

I thought you had other info that others didnt know. Because according to steam policy if someone makes a mass giveaway they should also make it free on steam. When steam makes games free they have card drops disabled. Those devs that makes mass giveaway should (probably with the help of steam) setup a new sub with a similar promotional license where the only difference is KEY ONLY instead of adding it directly to steam.
Many of humbles giveaways have been with promotional licenses, its very rare occations that its not. If its not its probably done incorrectly by dev himself without steams help or not a mass giveaway thats for everyone but only a few.
For example Will Glow the Wisp was given away on alienwarearena to 30+ users, that was the normal store license. It was also given out on steelseries with 2K keys or something like that. Dont know if because if was fairly limited they could do normal keys or if they just did it wrong by own choice and wasnt aware. It will also be free on steam in 7 days and thats for all. There it will be with card drops disabled like usual.

anybody know if i'll be able to grab free dlc without owning the game yet? i definitely plan to get overcooked 2 eventually, but not sure if i need buy it at the current fanatical sale price so i can get the surf n turf dlc while it's free. if i can add the dlc to my account without the base game so it's ready when i eventually buy it, i won't bother buying the game yet, especially since a guest reset my progress on overcooked 1 last time i played it.

I removed all the Microsoft poop games in favor of the collection links and I don't know if any free games are missing, I know Drawful 2 wasn't in any of those pages so that one is added separately. If anyone is bored and wants to look for more games to add there it'd be appreciated.

Another tip you could use to shorten this thread, here where you've put the useful links http://prntscr.com/rwx710 You could have it read like this:
Good SG threads for free itch.io games [that's your first link], Steam soundtracks [2nd link], Epic Games promotions [3rd link], paid-now-free Steam games [4th link]
Don't include the parts inside the brackets and make sure the commas are completely separated from the links.
Maybe even don't have the link in "Good SG threads for free" to help it be clearer that it's 4 separate links.

I understand what you're saying but by having all the links in the same row I feel like we're sacrificing how clear it is for no real reason. I don't think the thread is anywhere near being too long (right now at least) especially after removing all the Microsoft stuff. Thank you though!

This used to be a thread called "Limited time, 100% Free-to-keep PC games right now", where I, together with many helpful members of the community, documented which PC games were free to claim at any given moment. I started it when the COVID-19 pandemic started in the whole world and developers/publishers were doing promotions faster than one could keep track of everything. Since the situation is calmer now, keeping track of things to that level isn't needed.
The thread is now a free games news thread which relies on comments to function - if you find an interesting offer for a free game, feel free to comment and let others know! Here I have also put links to useful places where you can find out about and/or collect free games as they appear.
Comment Formatting Guide
When commenting, please put the full name of the game/promotion, which platform it is on, and a link to the promotion/the relevant SG thread.
