By now I'd say Battleblock Theater.
At first I thought it was just a simple platformer and I would have bored pretty soon.
Instead I had my great time, fell in love with it. I really liked Stamper (the narrator) even before the game came out (his animated videos are awesome), but didn't know he was in the game until much much later.
That's all, and... Thank you for the GAs. :)

Tomb of Tyrants. It's really addictive, it might look like a boring match-something game at first, but it's one of the few games I actually played through until I got the cards without even realising it, while I usually idle them.
The only problem (and it's a pretty huge one) is that I found that it crashes pretty often, completly, causing you to lose all progress on your current "tomb". But as far as I've seen, it's updated really often, so I guess it'll be solved soon enough.

I didn't think I'd enjoy it as much as I have, and certainly have sunk quite the time into it since purchasing it during the summer sale, which I ended up buying it on the last day because of a last minute "aw, what the heck, why not?" mentality. Needless to say, I am so glad I did. The game: The Banner Saga
I've found myself regretting decisions made due to the loss of certain characters. If you like medieval themes in games, I highly recommend it. I honestly was wary of turn based combat, but in this case, it just works.
I most certainly have found myself saying "I love this game so damn much!"

Right at this moment I'm loving the Batman games. I was surprised by how much I loved Asylum, so I went right on to City, and now I'm playing Origins. Origins isn't as enjoyable as the first to, but I AM still enjoying it :D
Tomb Raider (2013) is one I played for the first time last fall... and I was so sucked in, so enamored with the game that I played it through 3 times back-to-back. There are only two reasons I didn't play it through again for a fourth time, and those are 1.) I didn't want to get to the point that I was just finished with the game via overkill, and 2.) I forced myself to leave it behind so that I could work on my backlog.
I'm surprised that I've seen no one mention The Swapper yet. It is SO amazing! The reasons why I've listed in my review, which is HERE

Really? Asylum was masterpiece, but in City they did everything they did on Asylum but even better! Such a huge evolution that made me a fan :3
Unfortunately it came Origins after from a different studio, and then Arkham Knight which was supposed to be GOTY material ;___;

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth
It's the only game I kept playing after having completed it.
(in hype for Afterbirth)

I recently won Victor Vran on a site we all know but will NOT be named. And it is just awesome. =)
It's an a-RPG but the combat and controls (you can jump, evade and it's WASD!) give it a satisfying "oomph" that's I rarely feel in this genre. It's on Early Access but already has voiceovers, nice storyline and a great variety of monsters to abuse.

It's hard to say, but I guess it's Drakensang: The Dark Eye since I've played it for 40+ hours. I fell in love with the DSA world and it's been a while since I've enjoyed a cRPG so much.

I'm currently playing a lot of Dark Souls II.
This series has a problem - it makes other games look bad. Why don't more games are this satisfying to play?
Stuff I love about Dark Souls:
The combat is sooo satisfying
It is so open - you feel like you have so many paths you can take, and so many ways to play it - From caster to melee, from using NPCs and other players on boss fights, the difficulty level is pretty much set by you and how to you want to play it.
It has a huge world to explore, but it doesn't really tell where things are. Many boss fights can be made significantly easier if you explore your surroundings to change the boss room. (this is also a great incentive to play online, so you can read other player's messages)
Gosh I really love that game, making Dark Souls III the only game I plan on buying on release...
(also waiting for a nice sale of the game to buy it on steam)
Here's a ga.
