HoMM5. cause haven't played it all the way. and finished HoMM6 and waiting for HoMM7.
actually, i really want to start again BG, or Icewind Dale.

The way HoMM 3 looked always irked me a little. While far from the worst offender in this regard, the sprites never looked like they fit in with the backgrounds, they looked more pasted on (it's not nearly as bad as say Warlords Battlecry, but it still made the game look cheap. In fact, it irked me so much that I actually prefer HoMM 2 to 3 (but I think 5 is better than 2)

i get what you are saying about the sprites. it bothered me also. but after a while i didn't notice it.
i think 5 story is good so far (vanilla so far) but had more fun with the combat in 3.
and loved the sound vampire made in H2

I loved DS, I'm still waiting for a good price on DS2 (the enhanced version).
I don't know I loved a lot of games, but probably the #1 is fallout3

I don't like it. I've tried to play NV, but I can't, after a few hours it becomes boring to me, I gave it 3 chances, but nope, it's not for me.

I played it 3y ago and went to last mission and my save broke ;(
Last time i modded it and played through entire game and it was great :D

I was not sure I would like this game as I'm not crazy about space and stuff like that. Got it out of a trade so for free actually. Fun or not I think the normal price of 10 bucks is a bit steep. But 5-7 would be good. Just make sure you will give it a change till you are beyond the village. I understand you already have it. Play it, it's worth it.

Currently playing DFO(Dungeon Fighter Online) waited 15 years to be able to play it since nexon region locked it. The reason I love it so much is it reminds me of all the arcade beat em ups I used to play plus its just my perfect type of game kill stuff kill stuff KILL STUFF.

It is a weird, colorful, trippy game with the humor of old B science-fiction movies. It has a cool crafting/upgrade system that makes you explore the procedural generated universe for maybe too long, but along the way you got to experience some funny events and listen to some cool music.
The game is in early access and missing a lot of content, but the procedural generation and the jokes and events that are currently in the game kept me entertained for a while.

DS2 is my most played game on steam. It's just perfect. Haven't touched it since quite some time though.
Right now, I kinda fell in love with the Borderlands series. The gameplay, loot system and humor is pretty awesome. Also coop.

It was 'To the Moon' up until 8 hours ago. That story is one of the best I ever saw in a video game format, even though it is just a quasi-interactive movie.
But today I started playing Pillars of Eternity, which became my new favourite when the start game screen had a difficulty which stated in the description: "For Infinite Engine veterans." Seems like after about… dunno, 14 years… I found an actual game made for actual gamers, not just whiny little kids who cannot do anything mildly complex if it needs more than eight controller buttons. :D
And heck, maybe one of the achievements will be a real challenge, finally. cannot wait to tackle it. ^^

To The Moon is really great, can't wait for the new game
Pillars of Eternity is great too, played a lot of hours of it, GREAT writing and storyline...
(play it on casual because not a fan of the combat, though)

Yeah, from the same creators, they are working on new stuff.
Have you played the two minisodes for To The Moon?
I have A Bird Story, I need to play it eventually xD

Unfortunately I haven't had such an experience in many years. I've had some good experiences but they lack in comparison to older experiences with games like Starcraft, Counter-Strike: Source, Guild Wars, The Longest Journey/Dreamfall and Half-Lifes.

Sooo many games that I really like right now. But I've been playng Dust: An Elysian Tail for a few days. It's beautiful, I don't replay every other fight, it has wonderful music, the characters often breach the fourth wall, and the story is intriguing so far.
Mars: War Logs. I can talk about this game for hours and hours and hours. Currently in the middle of my second playthrough.
And Darksiders. These days I play the second game of the series when I need something... calming. Beautiful. Comforting.

Loved Dust too! Hopefully the guy will make more games :D
The combat is sooo satisfying, just flying around the screen with my sword and killing so many enemies <3

Outlast, which I just finished yesterday. It has really good pacing, and a really creepy atmosphere.

None so far :(
I'm losing interest or I'm growing up. I finish a game and I uninstall it. I don't like that and I hope it will change some day

Bastion. Always. I love every aspect of this game, every detail. There is no caps lock large enough to express my unending love for this wonderful gem.

+1 I loved it to the point of planning a cosplay for Kid (but it hasn't happened yet due to lack of funds)

Nice thread! May find some cool gaming gems from other people's suggestions.
Totally agree on Dark Souls with you, as far as i know, DS III will be like a baby between BloodBorne and Dark Souls which will be AWESOME, i hope it has features from both previous Dark souls.
Now i don't wanna suggest some greatly recognizable games or AAA ones, so I'll say:
Papers, Please
Of Guards and Thieves
TRANSISTOR
Chivalry: Medieval Warfare
Binding of Isaac
Awesomenauts
The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing I and II
Wasteland 2

yeah, I changed the game to my SSD drive and it got SO MUCH BETTER
Frequent loading screens were annoying the hell out of me...

Morrowind is really great and just the best ES Game in terms of setting and lore implemented into a setting. Yes, I said it, better than Skyrim.

Yeah the combat is not its strong part, and the flying kind of dinosaur vulture enemies are so numerous that you get bored of them quick, but especially in comparison to Oblivion Morrowind had a so much greater setting, that is why so many people loved Shivering Isles, because it took a step away from Oblivion's bland generic medieval fantasy world towards a setting like Morrowind's again.

I'm currently playing a lot of Dark Souls II.
This series has a problem - it makes other games look bad. Why don't more games are this satisfying to play?
Stuff I love about Dark Souls:
The combat is sooo satisfying
It is so open - you feel like you have so many paths you can take, and so many ways to play it - From caster to melee, from using NPCs and other players on boss fights, the difficulty level is pretty much set by you and how to you want to play it.
It has a huge world to explore, but it doesn't really tell where things are. Many boss fights can be made significantly easier if you explore your surroundings to change the boss room. (this is also a great incentive to play online, so you can read other player's messages)
Gosh I really love that game, making Dark Souls III the only game I plan on buying on release...
(also waiting for a nice sale of the game to buy it on steam)
Here's a ga.
