I really enjoyed Old World Blues and Lonesome Road, but it's hard to say which one is better.

The best ones indeed. In a way I prefered the Lonesome Road, though Old Wolrd Blues is the one with the most ridiculous characters of the game (in a good way) and larger play area.

Old World Blues, because i just felt that there was more interesting character developments, not to mention great weapons.

Story wise and hard breath environment, i would recommend Dead Money. It has good lines, stories, new companions and perfect for hardcore player. You will have to deal with harsh hazard zone, lacks of fresh water to drink, food is expensive and hard to come by.

Truely the best experience if you aim for hard core level.

I must disagree. Dead money seemed to be the most disgusting, tedious and soulless DLC I have ever seen. Poor, repulsive gameplay and lack of sense in all this story made it a torture for me. By the way, I believe that all four DLC are horrible and you should avoid them as plague. Very poorly made pieces of content. The original game rocks btw.

Lonesome Road and Old World Blues. Honest Hearts was lacking and Dead Money made me want to rip my hair out.

Lonesome road. It was the most challenging and had the best plot out of all of them imo. The worst was Dead Money. I dont want to spoil too much in case you want to buy it but you're stuck with an explosive collar for the entire dlc! It's a lot of trial and error, prepare to die quite a bit. The only upside of owning dead money is getting the gold bars

I never, NEVER died because of the collar. Did you know that you can shoot those speakers?

I did in the beginning but it became very redundant, not to mention having to avoid traps everywhere

To me it's either Old World Blues or Dead Money. The first one is crazy hilarious, while the second adds an interesting survival horror aspect to the original game.

The worst one is definitively Honest Hearts, is utterly broken and flat.

Old World Blues dude , Dead Money is worst DLC I've played tbh. I just hated every second of it.

My ranking:
1.) Dead money- > great story, nice characters, survivor elements
2.)Honest hearts- > Nice atmosphere.
3.) Old word blues -> Humor was great, but it was too repetitive.
4.) Lonesome road-> lacking ending, uninspired enemies, wasted opportunity.

This. I completed Dead Money but it was really painful to play. The constant toxic smoke is just annoying and makes it really hard to find out where you're supposed to go at times. Even worse are the forced stealth passages - they simply don't work at all. The enemies also lack variety, you're just shooting the same guy over and over and over again. The protagonist actually is an interesting character but the gameplay is just too tedious. It's like they had a whole load of ideas but not the game to make them all work

Definitely Old World Blues, it's just amazing, the environment, characters and quests are great and entertaining.
Dead Money is definitely the worst one, though.

if you don't want to spend money on DLCs try Beyond Boulder Dome
I'm about to start playing DEIMOS
and maybe Brazil after that, but that one is with new character only

im fond of lonesome road and like old world blues and honest hearts, i cannot stand dead money really, GRA is ok if you get it cheap and the pre-order crap is fairly pointless though being a completist i had to buy it :)

Old World Blues is my favorite. It adds a decent-sized open world to explore, with very funny characters. Lonesome Road is cool too.
I really disliked Dead Money, and New Vegas crashes when I try to start Honest Hearts, so I can't tell you my opinion on that one. (Apparently this is a common issue with many saves, and I'm too lazy to start a new one.)

Clear out some saves would make it load. Honest heart is known for bug and performance issues.

Dead Money and Old World Blues were my favourite. Honest Hearts was horribly boring and a character in Lonesome Road bored me to tears.

Dead Money seems to get a lot of hate but I enjoyed its environment. People call the traps and the collar tedious but I didn't really feel that. I liked the way it forced you to be cautious and take a look at your surroundings. The rest of the game we just roam around freely; it's a nice change of pace to have to pay attention.

the reason I hated dead money is because once you leave you can't return ever

Honest Hearts, that was the indian like one right?

the other two are great though

That seems like a rather shallow reason to hate the whole DLC though. The whole experience is just invalidated for you because you can't return to roam/loot it? Why does that cancel out everything else? There must be some other reason(s)...?

well, its one of the main reasons, some of the reasons I have forgotten since its been so long since I played it

Correct. Honest Hearts was the one with tribals in it.

Dead Money, I hated because of that whole explosive collar thing. Totally bullshit. that mechanic was never used before Dead Money, and not used in any other New Vegas DLC.

Being unable to return after leaving, that didn't really bother me. Open the console, and type in "coc NVDLC01Vault" to revisit the Sierra Madre Casino vault, or try other locations listed at the Fallout Wiki. Try using "player.additem 04013f71 37" to get all 37 Gold Pars for displaying in your penthouse.

You can also type "tcl" into the console to turn off clipping, allowing you to walk through walls. Behind the locked door in the BOS bunker, you'll find a door that will let you return to Dead Money content again. Just use "tcl" again before using the door, just so you remember to turn it back off.

Except for a very small number of items, most of what is in Dead Money is not as good as what you can find in the rest of the Mojave or in other DLCs. What little you wish to obtain more of, can be had with console commands.

1 - Lonesome Road - Awesome story, amazing level design (really, I LOVED that) and some of the best items in the game (Elite Riot Gear comes to mind...or the Red Glare)
2 - Dead Money - It's a very hard dlc. Prepare to die a lot. But I loved the fact that the game gave me an actual challange, and the story is really well written. And the characters are excellent.
3 - Old World Blues - Has some of the funniest moments in gaming. Really, I laughed SO much at that DLC. But the missions are kinda boring, unfortunately. You do get an awesome house, though.
5 - Honest Hearts. This one is bad. Avoid it. The missions are tedious and boring, the items (apart from the .45 Auto Pistol) are not worth it and the story is dull. The best thing about this DLC is Joshua Graham, a very well done character, but, unfortunately, you don't meet him as often as you'd like.

Personally, I think you should get Lonesome Road if you want an extra 2-3 hours out of your game fuelled with action, great story and awesome items. Get Old World Blues if you a lot of content to play with. Get Dead Money if you enjoy a good challenge and a very well written story. You can forget about Honest Hearts, though.

You shouldn't really play only-one story-DLC, as they are linked one to another.

If you can only choose one, get Dead Money as it's first one.
