At some point there was rules/guidelines against it, where they dropped?

PS. before making this thread there was at least 3 triple bumps (3 threads by the same person) right next to eachother
PPS. My apologies

WHERES MY GIVEAWAY BASTARD?!

not an active trader, so i don't know what the limitations are set at but from the guidelines on the bottom of steamtrades:

Use the integrated bump feature when you need to bump your trade, and do not post and remove comments in an attempt to increase visibility.

now of course if they are getting a reply question and are making genuine comments/replies to users, that's not just increasing it for visibility. but whatever the bump button provides in cool-down is supposed to be the rule. (when i last used, i believe it was allowed to bump every 30mins with that button)

to keep it in their new spirit of "domain seperation" the better link would be https://www.steamtrades.com/about/guidelines

Managing to successfully interpret any part of that layout is an accomplishment, given its attempt to be as eye-searing as possible. -.-

I dotn see the Problem, 3 Threads are allowed and by Rules you are allwoed to bump eahc once every hour. So as long as all 3 Threads contain different stuff and arent repeats i dont see what there is to complain.
The thing where i dont see the Point is the Guys who psot 3 Times the same stuff, butt hen again no rule against so ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I'm not quite sure what you mean. I only know that you can bump your trade posts once per hour. They can be bumped if someone leaves a comment too.

then how do you explain 3 threads by the same person right next to each other?

and its not just one user, more of them do that too

You can have up to 3 trade posts, right? So, what seems strange to you? He bumped each one, one after another.

where did you find that arbitrary number?

whats stopping me or anyone else to bump 10 threads? maybe enough to fill all the front page?

You can only set three threads to active - it won't let you activate/bump another unless you close one of those three.

Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached... bump away!

Because I'm a trader and I know about trade posts?! :P
If you try to open a 4th trade post, you'll see this message:
You reached the maximum number of active trades (3). Please close one of your previous trades before attempting to reopen this one.
It says reopen because I tried to reopen an old trade post of mine just to show you this message. :P
Anyway, the limit is 3. So, it's only normal that people, when they want to bump their trade posts, they'll bump them all together, hence why you see 3 trade posts of the same person next to each other.

"Use the integrated bump feature when you need to bump your trade, and do not post and remove comments in an attempt to increase visibility."

why would you need 3 different threads if you can make a list of all the games you want and need? (in just 1)

Because people prefer to see titles, instead of checking descriptions. So, since I'm currently selling 3 different games, I have 3 different trade posts. It's much easier this way.

but they dont have to check descriptions they can just use the search function and find your thread

Not totally correct.. A lot of people just randomly check for trades in the first page. Otherwise, we wouldn't even need to bump. xD

One for bundle games, one for non-bundled, and one for buying games with keys. You also have removed, and other stuff that wouldn't fit nicely together.

No point of cluttering a single thread when you can work with 3 separate ones.

i think they mean window size, but not everybodys screen is tiny and only sees 3 at a time. sounds like they're a mobile user who doesn't see much at a time.

they all look like legit bumps to me following the guidelines of the site. none of them were bumped via comments that i saw.
