Aww, that's sweet! Birthdays should be celebrated, I hope it's a nice day for you!
Our celebrations of birthdays and events in my family were always on-off. We'd just get each other things when we saw something they'd like that was affordable, why celebrate Christmas when there are Boxing Day sales, amirite XD

Thanks, much appreciated.
Haha, I like the way you think. Always thought when I had kids one day I could always set the date back a week, wait for all the deco and toys to be on sale, and have a week late Xmas. They'd never know - unless they speak to anyone else that week. Haha. :P

Another year has gone, but for once it hasn't been all that bad. For those who can recall, I posted this train last year, indicating some financial issues, and having to stream down on some spending here and there. Over the past year, I've managed to claw my way out of debt, as well as start on the path to actually saving towards a house and getting married - both of which will probably happen in early 2019.
For as long as I can remember, I've not celebrated birthdays. My uncle had a small get-together for my 21st more than a decade ago, which, although it wasn't formal, was the last time I actually did something. So this year, my fiance and decided to celebrate for once. This will include a dinner date for the two of us, and then a braai (barbecue) I'll host for friends the weekend thereafter. And, to cap it all off, I've also decided to celebrate with you guys.
I've created a train that will end on my birthday, so a few lucky SG users will also get to celebrate on the day. Yay!
You can jump aboard right here. It's not the greatest, and includes a lot of leftovers, but there are a few nice ones thrown in. Hope you enjoy!
