hmmm.... I would recommend valkyira chronicles, (I would recommend putting the voices in Japanese, due to the corny american voice acting xD), and the entire half-life series for a long, yet good, story (including blue shift and opposing force). Mirror's edge is pretty fun, but also pretty short. I have not tried it, But i hear dr. who is a good game. have fun :D
(P.S. I got all of these games, + most of the games during the summer sale for under $50 xD)

Thanks! I will definitely take a look at valkyira chronicles. I have beat mirrors edge and I plan on buying half life 2 during the next big sale. I am not a big dr. who fan but hey maybe I'd like it!

Hmmm... Far Cry 3 then is probably a good bet.
Fallout series definitely. The deal on steam atm is not the best deal for it though.
Stalker series possibly (not played it but it's open world & shooter). Been bundled a few times.
Dying Light, more melee than shooter but still great. Not been 75% off yet but I felt I got my monies worth. :)
Deus Ex HR. Don't think it's open world but the maps are pretty big and yet another awesome game.

I'll definitely take a look into Stalker and Deus Ex!. I played dying light and it was by far one of my favorites!

Saints' Row 3 and 4 tend to go on big sales on a regular basis, if you like your open wold games slightly unhinged/insane

Hahaha, I like the comment below, just trying to figure out the SG crowd. My favorite genre would honestly be anything open world. I love games like sleeping dogs and just cause. I also love shooters! The only thing is I don't like nudity in games, because I find it unnecessary. Thanks!

Yeah, Daedalic games are def the top notch for adventure games. Though the arrangement is of Caden is kinda misleading. Don't play Memoria if you haven't played Chains of Satinav, you'll be lost in what is going on and who is who. Best way to start with those games might be either Edna & Harvey: The Breakout or even better The Night of the Rabbit/The Whispered World in general.

I'm looking for some good games to buy on steam and like games that are often on sale. Any suggestions? Also join my giveaway for gravilon!
