Import Your Steam Wishlist

We have a few updates on the sync page. First off, it now includes the top 10 games from your Steam wishlist. Secondly, you have the option to resync all the data manually, once an hour. Otherwise, it'll automatically refresh on public accounts once a week.

At the moment the wishlist data is not applied anywhere else, but more features are on the way. For example, with the wishlist information, we'll be able to display the top games within a given price point that would most appeal to the community. This would be a great resource for those providing gifts, and they can better make a selection when deciding on a game. Keep in mind, the rank of a game on your wishlist is also taken into account, and those ranked higher will be given more influence in the overall listing.

Edit: Simple wishlist page is setup. It still needs a lot of work, and it'll most likely include game images, prices, links, etc. in the future. Also, I'll write a simple algorithm that looks at the rank, the price, and the number of existing giveaways for a game to help determine the ideal giveaway.

The system misses some games. Like, Serious Sam 3 or Stronghold 3. I guess that happens because they have no price. Still, they can be on someone's wishlist.

Yep, at the moment it skips over free games, or those without a price. After all, we're looking for a list of games that can be purchased.

Yeah, same thing happens with games that come out in the future. They don't need to appear here. If we were to ever see that 100% of people wanted Metro Last Light it wouldn't do any good. People can't buy them as gifts so it would be a useless stat.

Amazing. Thanks for adding that feature! I know the community has been clamoring for it, and it's been executed brilliantly.

I'm just sad that DeathSpank: Thongs of Virtue is at the bottom of the current wishlist. That game is AWESOME! :D

That's from me. Its on my wishlist! That being said, only a few people have forced sync'd their wishlist, give it time or whenever cg can slowly automate it so it doesn't overload the servers and the wishlist will be more accurate.

in that case many people will change their wishlists to get a discount and wishlist will stop being accurate and won't provide useful information.

Sounds like an exploitable feature. Its really easy to edit your wishlist before entering any giveaway to get discount.
But it would be nice to be able to filter giveaways according to your wishlist.

Edit: How about adding links to the games' respective storefronts?

You have to sync in order for SG to find your wishlist. There's a force sync button on top of your sync page.
