Thanks! As I'm using ESGST which automatically embeds YouTube videos, I didn't realize!

I was confused at first because it's not common to make a link not show without meaning to. My puzzle instincts immediately made me check the source code and the link was there, but you didn't have any current invite only giveaways.

I was really excited for the game, but I just found it boring.
After all the hype, the game was more annoying than interesting. After 3 hours, I just gave it up as a lost cause.
The puzzles were not particularly interesting or even memorable. Combat was boring. FOV sucked.
It just was not very well thought out game. I have heard it gets better later on, but I was seriously bored and a bit annoyed at it to continue.

hm. i thought it was one of the most atmospheric experiences i had in years. definitely one of the top 3 games this year so far (together with Nier Automata and Divinity OS 2).

Atmosphere is background. The foreground has to be solid for the background to matter.
I mean, if someone like me who loves single player games, loves stories, loves Norse mythology, loves third person games, got bored, then I seriously believe that they messed up somewhere.

I am aware that everyone would perceive the game differently, but that's my viewpoint anyway.

i actually liked most of the gameplay as well. the combat seems simple and easy in the beginning, but gets more complex and harder over time. i enjoyed it quite a bit. the rune puzzles are clearly the worst part of the game, but i enjoyed even those. the few other puzzles were actually great (the mirror that sends you to the past, the warrior trials...). didn't have a problem with the FOV (but i almost never complain about that in games). and it just gets to intense at the end... it really was an amazing experience.

sure, if you don't like it that's fine. we all like different things. i just wanted to say i found the game to be nothing short of a masterpiece. :)

if you are interested in my more detailed explanation, feel free to read my appeal at the bottom of this review.

It truly is. Bumping so that others may see it.

Today is World Mental Health Day (October 10th).

"Ninja Theory has announced that today's proceeds from the sale of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice will be donated to mental health charity Rethink Mental Illness. Rethink Mental Illness exists to support and campaign for those severely affected by mental illness, helping millions of people affected by mental illness by challenging attitudes and changing lives."
