I don't get it. What's wrong with "Fallout: Equestria"? It's actually pretty well written, and cartoon ponies aside, the story is actually able to compete with the Fallout games.

It all began sometime in 1998. I heard of this role-playing game called "Fallout" and played it.
Also in 2010 or 2011 i first heard about that cartoon about colored horses, but ignored it and forgot all about it, because i don't like colored horses and am not interested in cartoons about them. Skip to 2019 and now i hear about Fallout: Equestria for the first time in my life. I missed my chance to start playing Fallout series because of fanfiction of cartoon about colored horses, but what can i do now?

Best Fallout game ever was Fallout 1 and 2.
P.S.
My Little Pony is popular among adult men because they like to meet young girls and childs and while guys age 25+ go for girls 16+ that watch MLP there are also some pedos going on the MLP meetings to be close to kids. A guy I had known from fantasy and sci-fi meetings was going on MLP meeting and met a girl there then had sex with her but it turns out she was 15y old and now he is in jail.

Didnt started fallout after reading it, but I'm glad I read that whole thing, even if it so long and the end isnt that good in my opinion. It made me name quite a few character of mine Littlepip and go with a stealth/lockpick set though.
Didnt played dead money before it so it was welcoming to see the similarities between canterlot and sierra madre. Guess that counts?
As for the question, I read the Roadside picnic and watched the movie way before ever touching a stalker game

Yep, that counts. It was interesting to see all the similarities between Fallout and Fallout: Equestria, and to read the backstory.
EDIT: Oh, and I forgot: When first playing Dead Money, I kind of expected the pink cloud to corrode my clothing into my character, making it stick to my character permanently. Glad it didn't turn out that way.

I don't get it -- but it seems to work for some people.
Seems like a pretty positive, welcoming community, which is cool.

It all began sometime in 2013-2014. I heard of this cartoon show that, although was meant for young girls, was for some reason popular among adult men. I decided to check it out. I have since fallen in love with the world of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. Some months later, I heard about this fanfiction called "Fallout: Equestria" written by someone going by the pseudonym "Kkat", which apparently had received positive reviews among the brony (adult men who like MLP) fandom. The fanfiction was apparently set in the universe of MLP, but with Fallout elements added to it. I downloaded and read it.
I liked the story so much that I decided to check out the video game which started all this. I found Fallout 4, but after reading the reviews on Steam which complained that the game lacked the role playing contents of the previous game in the series, Fallout: New Vegas, as well as praising New Vegas for being "arguably the best Fallout game ever", I decided to buy Fallout: New Vegas.
And so, here I am today, still a longtime player of Fallout Tale Of Two Wastelands.
I've searched online, but I couldn't seem to find anyone else who started playing Fallout after reading "Fallout: Equestria". Anyone here has an experience similar to mine?
