I think for 5 USD you can get the most recent Humble Bundle which includes Machinarium, Botanicula and Samorost 2. You can pay less but 5 will get you Steam keys.

Garry's Mod? Don't know if it's $5, but it should be close.

Well, if you are a fan of old-school games, I recommend Sonic CD. It has a few extra features that the original did not have.

For Steam at least, the under $5 page might give you a few ideas...

Both are pretty cool games, especially if you like old snes-nes era games.
