I did read something on here about a season pass for a game for mac working on pc but I can't seem to find it. I'm looking at the GMG sale and am thinking of getting the only 2 dlc I am missing for borderlands 2 and the season pass for the pre-sequel. All 3 are mac ones and I just want to make sure they will work on pc before buying them.

If the seasons pass is for the Steam version of a game it can be used with Windows, Mac and Linux versions. Any game you own on Steam can also be played on any OS that has a version of that game. If it says Steamworks required on the store page it should work with the Windows version.

Yes, they will work.

If it's a Steam key it's basically a license to own that game, independent of operating system. I have no idea why GMG (and other sites) list some games as being for Mac specifically but I've bought some before and they've activated on my Steam account and then just downloaded and installed the Windows version on my Windows PC and the Mac OS version on my Mac no problem. I've also bought some games from macgamestore.com when they're cheaper there, and as long as they're Steam keys they work fine.

There is one example of a MAC and Windows version being completely seperate on Steam and that's Black Ops 1. All the rest are usually fully Steamworks and you can play on either.

Always look on the Steam store page though to check it has Steamplay.
