Humble releasing bundles towards the End Times of the day, is this the new normal?

View Results
[Buy: Tier 1] Much like fine wine, Primal Carnage: Extinction is now worth three times as much as it was when first bundled in a three-games T1 back in 2017.
[Buy: Tier 3] A zombie survival game and some never-on-sale DLCs? Why not.
[Skip: Have] Some rebundles with extra DLC won't make me spend any money.
[Skip: Expensive] Effectively having one tier choice at $13 isn't what we used to call a bundle, IGN.
[Skip: Potato] I'd complain that they release these bundles at seriously-odd-o'-clock to prevent people from BTA sniping, but who would even want to buy the T2 for this?

Ew...

What the actual hell is Humble even doing? Have these odd changes worked out for them so far?

1 game T1, weird bundle content generally, BTA going to hell and doing a default price that is twice the price of T3. Maybe other things I'm forgetting. I think the last Humble bundle I got was the recent LEGO one and things weren't this weird then.

There has been a few half-way decent. But I get the feeling they are running out of games even with choice...

I don't even mind when a bundle has re-bundled games, but they're putting some weird games in their bundles. There have been a couple bundles I would have purchased, like the Sakura and Telltale one, but the former had a weird game selection and the latter had absolutely 0 games that were new to me. Otherwise there has been nothing to even give me even an ounce of interest in their recent bundles.

I guess they're throwing their user-friendliness out the window, and I'm voting with my wallet.

Setting default to double of T3 is absolutely not a move to get more money, I promise

I think that's been a thing for quite a while now, like at least a year? Still scummy though.

It's been like that since they switched the design (I think before that they had reasonable default prices, but I'm not 100% sure) and this might actually be the cause of the BTA overtaking T3 pretty much all the time now and the bundle ending up being more expensive than at release. I thought I'd add a warning, since there might be people unaware of this.

Yeah, it's probably since around the time they got all mean with the sliders.

Oh my word, would you look at that butt! Humble couldn't squeeze out any more crap (moves) if it tried.

Is there a new competition between Fanatical and Humble with both sides trying to underwhelm us more?

Humble is the most underwhelming here because at least Fanatical put Shift Happens in their $1 tier 2 months ago and I've never seen them bundle newer editions of previously bundled games.

Including the first (and dead) Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide, which hasn't been supported in ages (probably ever since the second came out). LMAO what even is this.

Humble We've Given Up Bundle.

No thanks.
That said, on my end the price on bundles has been set to $25 by default for a long time. I've had to change the amount manually for at least the last 2 years.

Even in recent bundles I used to see value in some aspects...
I see no such thing here. This is bad in so many ways.
All but one base game is a rebundle. As such, price for tier 3 is a joke. $9 might have been ok.
Adding to it 1 item in tier 1, irregular release time, and default price shenanigans, this is just objectively bad.
Even more items in bta tier doesn't help anything, since bta is tier 3. :/

Since most of these are either outright PvP, or meant to be played that way, it's another skip for me. I swear Humble had only 2 or 3 good bundles this year.
(as a side note, I've had the default set to 25 € the whole year and maybe even before that)

Why would anyone want dead Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide 1 multiplayer (2,79€ at steam) when there is 2 for ages.
It's like trying to sell Battlefield 3.
