DayZ Standalone, do i have to buy it if i own arma 2?

yep, they arent the same game... buying arma2 doesnt entitle you to dayz, its just there

When you bought Arma 2, you bought Arma 2 not DayZ. I don't think people who bought Half-Life got Counter Strike Source for free.

Yea, you will have to buy it. Dayz is not Arma 2, its just a mod.

Well, it's kinda funny...i bought ARMA2 for dayz, and i didn't even liked it very much.

i think DayZ is on the Arma 3 engine plus i think its going to be kinda cheap

when you buy Arma 2 you don't pay for DayZ...when the standalone is out you will have to pay for it too :/ I just hope when the standalone is out that the Arma 2 DayZ will be on so we can keep playing it on Arma 2 T.T

also dayz devs are saying dont buy arma 2 to play dayz atm wait for the standalone

You don't necessarily 'have' to buy the standalone. Granted, it will be its own thing, yes. However, they claim that support will continue for the mod version, so it's up to you if you want to drive that old busted jawn, or the new hotness.

Heck you guys are lucky because I can't even run Arma 2 so no DayZ for me dunno about the standalone but if it runs anything like arma 2 on my laptop then i'm screwed.
