If Hawken is still open beta is no game at all, right?. It featured in a Watchmojo.com best 10 free to play Videogames in PC, but i consider beta to be an unfinished product, just as Steam Early access states, the game itself might get cancelled and not released at all. Opinions.

It just marketing non-sense. Hawken has been out for 2 years. Online games frequently change as they age after having become available.

but as the steam early access states, games might not get released after you pay a bunchload of money, also Brawl busters closed and microvolts keep shooting

Steam store page is just advertising. The game has been out for years already, off Steam.

You realize any other multiplayer game can just shut it's servers down, right? It literally makes no difference if Hawken is in Early Access or not.

I started playing this game a few weeks ago. Plenty of players on US East servers. Fun game imo.

It doesn't matter how they call it, betas that you have to pay for/ that have a fully functional item shop are finished products and you should treat them like that

The day you start collecting money, you have "shipped" the release of the game. Many games have patches and updates post release.

Remaining in beta indefinitely is a common tactic used be F2P developers (and now early access devs as well) to deflect blame for anything that goes wrong with the game.

I haven't played Hawkin, but I would wager that they use the same tactic so that whenever someone on the forum says, "This feature has been broken for years," the fanboys will rally and yell that the game is in beta and that's why it's okay to leave the game in a permanently or long-term broken state.

It's amazing the kind of stupid things fanboys will actually defend once they have put some money into a free-to-play game and delude themselves into thinking that they are savvy consumers. I'm looking at you: Mechwarrior Online community.
