Dead Island Epidemic in SteamGifts

I recently entered and won a Dead Island giveaway.

Instead of the original Dead Island, I received a copy of the closed beta of Dead Island Epidemic.

It's not such a damage, for me personally. But I'll mark the gift as not received, as I think this is not fair not only for me, but also for the 791 people in that giveaway, and for the entire community of SteamGifts (somebody seems to have donated 20$ when he actually donated nothing to this community), and for this reason this post brings all this situation to your attention.

I'm seriously thinking about reporting him or not. In any case I'll leave this user the possibility to defend himself.

You're calling out, so better delete it before some mod see it.

Clicking "not received" should be enough (and actually it is what you are supposed to do), but you can send message to support.

the ONLY option is mark it as "not received", cause the game differs from what was promised. Also, check that second winner. You can report him for "trading or not activating won gift", since he marked it as received and there is no such game in his library.

You should have talked to him personally and give him the oportunity to right his wrong, or tell support about the situation. Delete his profile and the giveaway as it is calling out and it can get you suspended.

report him and contact the support, also report the giveaway and check "gift not received", you never received Dead Island anyway, he gived you Dead Island Epidemic because he wanted to...

I had reported that giveaway (link removed from OP) while it was still open but nothing was done about it. Honestly, the mods should be looking at all Dead Island giveaways carefully as most of them are for Epidemic.....
