All we know what Intel and nVidia chips give us more fps per watt (if overwievers are not cheating:-), and some times alot more then their red competitors. But is it so bad how it looks like?
It's topic only about AMD chips, so Intel and nVidia fans please passing by. Thank you.
So main question is - what AMD CPU and GPU from nowdays and a little bit old (2-3years) can be used in power efficient gaming PC to save some costs and allow to play modern games at least @ high/medium settings on Full HD (1920x1080) and less monitors?
I think it must be 4-core CPU and some not high-end videocard, so basically budget home PC for 12 hours working and 5-6 hours playing.
Lowest idle power consumption is important also.

wait for zen if you are looking for a cpu, rx 480 is pretty good too

gtx1050ti is almost beating rx470, and 480 is not so efficient also.(

Then why do you ask for an AMD GPU? If you will only consider power efficiency then choose NVidia.

1050 Ti is not close to an RX 470 in most games, and all previous generations of graphics cards have worse power efficiency.

Almost beating? There's a ~10-15 FPS difference in any benchmark on the internet....or more....I wont call that "almost".

idk if you know but 15-20 fps of 60-110 fps is fuking a lots
performance per watt
GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 8.4
Radeon RX 480 8.9
so rx 480 is less power hungry than the 1050ti, so i seriously don't understand your point

All of the new Ryzen CPUs from AMD are very power efficient if that's what you're looking for. the R7 1700 is only 65W.

if you can't spent 1-2 $ a years of extra electricity cost, you don't have the money to buy a new comp, might be rude but i can't see any other reason to be so low on power even if you spent extra 100+ $ for nvidia/intel

You'll be able to scrimp by on the CPU by going AMD, especially if Ryzen is impressive in real world benchmarks and testing, but sorry, you're stuck with Nvidia for sure if you want a competent GPU that is also very power efficient.

I doubt Vega will be much more efficient than their current lineups, if anything it might be more power hungry relative to performance. You'll likely have to wait another AMD generation for efficiency, if that.

Sadly APU have big TDP and not good efficient. Even R7250 will be alot better.
