The thing is (and this is not intended as a personal attack on anybody here, but I believe a massive global survey would show the same results):
Playing something like Battlefield ---> (almost photorealistically) running around shooting people in the head all the time is okay...
Playing something like Assassin's Creed ---> (almost photorealistically) running around stabbing / slaughtering people all the time is okay...
Watching something like Saw ---> people getting mindbreakingly tortured is okay...
Watching Game of Thrones ---> Jamie and Cersei having a little fun producing more offspring is okay...
I could continue the list for ~234682376482 more items, but I think you get the idea without me doing so
But suddenly playing something like this ---> Two cartoonish related characters (presumably without violence) exploring whatever it is between them - that's the abomination?

Pretty much my thought, i was readin the comments only seeing people saying "gross" and stuff... seriously this is a site called steamgift where you are suppose to see a large amount of videogame player If they are not able to see the difference between fiction and reality, we are indeed doom like some comments said.. Though we can all put it on the autel of reputation, video game where you kill are everywhere and accepted so people are fine with it, but if it reach a taboo in society or whatever, we see the social warrior, and people who want to give a good image of themselves, reacting the way they "should" to keep this reputation -shrugs-

Again: Nobody said that anyone should go around and f*** a relative - but this is still a friggin game... ...and I highly doubt that you can import pictures of you and whomever into it to make if feel more realistic...
...but even if that were the case:
For everything in the world there's at least one person getting off on it (rule 34 and stuff)... ...and if it's morally questionable (or worse) then I think being able to have something like this instead of pursuing it IRL - potentially harming others - is the right way to go...
PS: Just check the circumstances of the death of David Carradine. THAT is some weird sh**!
EDIT: But most importantly: Playing a game / watching a movie / reading a book (thus consuming fiction) doesn't mean that you want to do the same thing in real life...

you do realize torturing people is also quite not really sane ?
Yet we have those stuff available to general public as entertainment.
Our point is not to excuse the theme choose for this game, but to let people reflect on ho hypocritical it is to just complain on this particular one while finding other traumatic thing acceptable. Especially if people can differenciate reality and fiction in other video games, they probably can in this one either so those comment are really there only to show that they have a socially acceptable opinion.

yep it's true, if it's wrong it should be wrong with each of these things not only one of them that takes the "thing" to a higher extend.
I guess that's how media works, they first give small hints and small brain-washes to subtle your brain and make it a little more accepting of the things you think are wrong, then increase the doze and people would just accept the wrong act...
