Metro Redux too bright to original?

i did only play 1-2 hours metro 2033, i need more time ;), but i saw some videos about comparisons about some scenes, while last light is not much changed metro 2033 changed a lot but to the better? the levels seem to be much brighter and therefore i can imagine less darker atmosphere?

You can turn the gamma down.
