There was one clear error in the puzzle in that I included Bermuda, which is of course not an independent country, but a British overseas territory.. I have looked at what I could do to fix this, and so the introduction to the tour paragraph has been altered to reflect this.
Istambul is obviously not the capital of Turkey, and so the text has been altered to fix this.
You are looking for a sign or sigil of Carmen's presence, when suddenly a banner of epiphany strikes you.
The banner of inspiration that you needed was the country banner, that is to say the flag. Each tour is represented on the flag, see, the top graphic to make it clear. Indeed, I tried to make the last site, where she was caught, an "iconic" representation of the object. So if I asked people to name a flag with a big circle on it, most would name Japan, if aked about a flag with a tree on it, most would name Lebanon, and so on. So the question was which is the only national flag not listed that contains a lion on it, and it would be a flag with a very prominent lion. The answer is Sri Lanka. (see the second graphic). Sri Lanka is tricky as it has a separate commercial and administrative capital, so I took three answers. I accepted Kotte, Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte, and Colombo.

BTW Istanbul isn't the capital city of Turkey either. 🤓

Maybe you got the wrong country? I just copied and pasted its capital from Wikipedia, and it worked.
I'm not sure if you got its logic, though your comment reminded me of one thing in this puzzle a little bit confusing, that Bermuda's not an independent country, but other countries mentioned in the story are.

Ahhhh. Yes, that is my fault. It is without doubt an error in the puzzle design. I will adjust the puzzle text accordingly.. I should have perhaps chosen an artifact other than The Great Lion of Cleopatra, as there are only four countries that the Lion could legitimately visit. I will adjust the paragraph in the puzzle introducing the tours, to make it clear how to handle Bermuda. I apologise for the mistake.

Greetings all,
My Ancient Greece super-hunt makes steady but very slow progress. I finally finished one of the Steam Dungeons, particularly after SeRVER added some features that I was looking for. (Thank you SeRVER)
Based on the vote from last week's puzzle, 17 people have found the hunt to be fun, and 19 people not so fun. As such, I have decided that Carmen will be caught in a couple of weeks, somewhere between weeks V and VII depending on how well the geography puzzles come to me.
As such, the hunt for the mythical art thief Carmen SanFranciso carries on apace. Can you figure out where she is headed this time?
The giveaway runs until 23:59 pm GMT on Saturday 18 August. This is later than the others (which all ended Friday night), but I am posting this one a day later than the others. The main prize this week is thematically very closely related to the solution, and as such, while I am pleased to get the reward to match the solution, I am also having to make it a secret giveaway. Therefore there is a secondary prize which I can identify which is Escape the Lost Kingdom: The Forgotten Pharoah.
There is no puzzle content on this page. But the hunt continues here.
Note that this is the Sequel to Catching Carmen SanFrancisco I, to Catching Carmen SanFrancisco II, and to Catching Carmen SanFrancisco III. You can go look at those for a view on how these puzzles work, or alternatively read my magic guide
31 people solved part 1, 30 solved part 2, and 27 people solved part 3. Good luck.
