It's not a coincidence, that there are no three-way forks in the main path.
Technically there'll be two solutions, but one will be the correct one. BUT if you find the wrong one, you'll know the correct one as well, like when you want to insert an USB stick in a wrong way.

I don't get the maze puzzle. I opened it in editor, drew the line the way you're supposed to and there just isn't anything there.
