It's not region locked. I bought it for someone that is outside of the U.S. and he was able to activate the Steam key without any issues.

Batches do pop up on occassion. GameKeysNow hsd it on sale a couple of months back and I posted it here then. Only lasted a couple of hours before they sold out though.

Anyone know if you can buy Gamestop gift cards from outside the US? Thinking maybe they would work as a payment option if they allowed us to buy them in the first place. $10 minimum so I'd have to pick up 2 copies of this or something.

I did find amazon US selling $25 Gamestop giftcards delivered by email and I know I can normally buy stuff from Amazon US. Maybe that would work? I'm not even going to try that as I don't know what I'd do with $25 credit even if it did.

This thread was created when there was a sale. But since then I haven't seen it on sale again. Maybe they noticed that they are the only store selling it (similar to Amazon US; they don't put games which aren't on Steam anymore on sale).

Sure, you can get the game from GOG, Amazon, and Gamersgate multiple times a year for amounts hovering between 3 to 7 dollars.
It just won't be a Steam key. Only GameStop still has those in stock, and--unless the game comes back somehow--there's not much reason to expect it ever on sale again. Hell, they've got a monopoly on a finite resource.... if anything I would actually have expected them to triple the price.
Have you seen what people will pay for Steam gifts of the first Mafia game? Anyone that has to have a steam copy instead of another alternative is actually getting off lucky at just $20.

Assuming they made the usual contract, it is a small miracle they can still sell the Steam keys, but they surely would not be allowed to sel it at a higher price than in the contract. (Some contracts even state a minimum price after discounts. Not sure how wide-spread that is in NA, but Japanese publishers of any media love to do that.)

It was removed from GOG in March. There may still be GOG keys from G2A and such but I can't see them being much cheaper than Steam keys from GameStop.

Just bought the Xbox 360 copy of Chronicles of Riddick yesterday from gamestop for $2.50 as part of their 4 for $10 deal, along with other discontinued games due to revoked licenses, like James Bond 007 Quantum of Solace and Robert Ludlum's The Bourne Conspiracy. Console exclusives and discontinued games are practically the only games I buy from Xbox these days.

Had tried that several times without success. Eventually I bought a gift card. But you don't get a gift card for $20, even $25 at Amazon US isn't available anymore. Those at Ebay can't be bought with non US Paypal account. In the end I bought one at G2A.
If you have a trustworthy US friend, you might prefer that.

Gamestop has had it for $5 at least once, since I remember buying a few keys for it. Possibly more often than that, but I never remember to check if it's on sale... :(

This list contains two other entries for Gamestop US, but both aren't available anymore and the list is also outdated (missing newly removed games). Since Gamestop and other retailers aren't crawled by ITAD or AKS, you probably have to search for them one by one (and also gather information if it's really a Steam key).

There is currently a sale for this game available for $2.84 at Gamersgate. It is not a steam or GOG copy but a downloaded version with Tages DRM I think.
