For the next ~12 hours or so the game is 80% off (3,99€) on de.gamesplanet, but my question is: does anyone have any idea if it's the uncut version (since it's the german version of their site)? The UK version of the site has it for Β£3.99 so I'm wondering if there's any difference between the two keys being sold.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance isn't cut in Germany so you're good to go.

Oh, really? :o Thought it was censored since some guy asked the same question in the comments section of the UK page.

Actually, now that I looked into it, it seems to be censored in Japan where you wouldn't be able to activate it anyway because of this:

This title can not be activated / This title can not be activated from the Following Regions from the following countries: Bhutan, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Republic of Lao People's Democratic Republic, Macao, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Nepal, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam

Guess all the censored games in Germany made my brain think they only censor them over there by default. Anyway, thanks!

I'll leave the discussion open in case someone wants to see the deal though

Yeah, I have the same mindset about games being cut. Unfortunately they are mostly blocked because of the publishers nowadays. Censorship gets more rare nowadays luckily.
We have a website about everything that's cut and uncut. From movies to videogames. So I just looked it up, region block would've been a different thing.

If you play it you'll notice that everything is cut (or can be cut by your blade).
Jokes aside the only censored version is the Japanese one.

Lol ;p Yeah, that's why I want the game in the first place. Having it censored would be like watching Happy Tree Friends with the gore blurred out, which would be quite silly.

The only difference for Console version was blood color being white and for PC there is no difference at all. This game doesn't seem to have Censored/Uncut differentiation.

I thought blood was white only in the Japanese version.

Well... the blood in the game is in fact white for most enemies and the protagonist lore-wise. It is a synthetic blood. So it wouldn't count as censorship.

I heard that Raiden's blood in MGS4 is white in all versions, and I think there's a codec call in MGR that mentions why cyborg blood is red now. Dunno what it says in Japanese where it's still white.

EDIT: in fact, I checked a wiki and found that codec call. (clicky)

Doktor: (...) Most non-military enhancements use polymer muscle fiber. That is a generation behind yours. Carbon nanotube would be... a bit much for anyone who wished to lead a normal life, you know. And polymer systems can be powered by rechargeable electric batteries. Organic muscle fiber which allows extraction of nutrients from the bloodstream does exist, but it requires artificial blood for sufficient power output. This so-called "white blood" requires dialysis, and was mostly phased out once cyborg technology became mainstream. True, some use cultivated muscle tissue to take nourishment from the body's natural bloodstream... But such systems are more regenerative medicine than cyborg technology, I'm sure you'll agree. Of course, natural musculature or no, if the body is equipped with a ceramic bone structure--
