well, yeah,i think so to, or that at least there is a small chance ID will fix that mistake.
i'm assuming OP would have installed and checked if the original campaign was accessible, before posting about it. Its hard to miss.
i wouldnt get it myself though, for 20€ i find it best to just wait or check for sales, that way i know what im getting.

I think OP was really mistaken. I doubt you got single player campain when you launch doom eternal and can just choose battlemode and Ancient Gods - Part One campaign like it says in the store page description.

yeah, they made sp campaign a different dlc for game, which is included in the full version of the game and not in those dlcs, they made this change so you could play the dlc without having the full game
as here you can see store sub with the campain dlc https://steamdb.info/sub/235874/apps/ and in the previous ones linked the campaign dlc is missing

The "DLC" is a stand alone, that is why it came with the Battle Mode, no matter if you have or not the main game,you still can play the Ancient Gods campain/missions. Imo, is confusing that is listed as a DLC, to me a stand alone is not a DLC.

We can't tell yet. We haven't heard back from OP yet after he promised to keep us updated once the game finished downloading.
Pretty sure it must the the full version that includes campaign afterall they supposedly changed the Store page after he purchased it.

They moved it down. They didnt change in description what was added. It never showed that single player campain was included in that package ever on steamdb.
OP thinks he owns it because it added BATTLEMODE which shows that you own DOOM Eternal for steam And he can now not buy standard edition because the setup on steam store page is weird. I would belive they need to either make packages or add a possibility for excisting users to upgrade so they can manually buy "full game".

Currently my library shows that I own the DLC and base game. Trying to buy the standard edition in the store isn't allowed because steam says I already own it.
So unless they made the standalone campaign in such a way that I will now be unable to buy and play the base game? I don't know. I'll update once the game finishes downloading.

So it worked, but didn't work. lol.
Says "DOOM Eternal is already in your Steam library" and isn't able to be purchased. So when you start the game, it says "Buy the full game" but you aren't able to actually do that. So it's a glitch on steams end. lol
Gonna refund it now. (which is fine since I prob wouldn't have played any time soon anyhow)

They will probably add a new button to purchase the campaign DLC.
The base game includes that DLC so you should be able to buy it separately.

There is currently a price glitch on Doom Eternal. You can purchase the new DLC on the main game's page and you get the base game free. just did so myself.
Edit:
Looks like it's now fixed on the store. The version I bought does indeed include both the base game and DLC, not the standalone Ancient gods.
