Nope, as long as you have a decent internet connection. I bought a 2TB external to store all my Steam games in, but then my collection swelled to 1,040 something, so I had to stop installing everything just for kicks.

Now that I have Better Speed I only have a few at any given time.
No I don't think it's bad, but also depends on if you game a lot, have a few TB hard drive space, and /or Mega internet speeds. MHO.
