Wings of Vi looks interesting. I like platformers. Maybe I'll have to look into it.

Do you like difficult platformers? It's one of the most difficult games I have played. I didn't know before I started, but I guess it's what is considered a precision platformer.

You can take multiple hits from enemies, but there are spikes and pits where you can die from making a mistake. You can do a couple different types of jumps and there are many sections where you have to time the jumps perfectly to make it through without dying (actually, most of the game is like this). There are a decent amount of checkpoints though and there is an easy mode that adds more if you need them.

It also has a lot of bosses that are pretty difficult. They are the type where they have a few different attacks and you have to recognize patterns to have any chance of surviving. Most people probably die around 30-100 times trying to beat a boss, but it is a fairly quick death and you respawn right at the boss. You have unlimited deaths.

With that said, I am enjoying the game. It is difficult, but it is clear that everything is possible and if I die it is because of a mistake I made, so it feels good to complete it.

Been playing A Plague Tale: Innocence these days. I love it so much and i'm glad i got to try it out. Finished the story in one sitting cause it was just amazing.
Also, i sometimes log in to Hearthstone and WoW but not as much as i used to years ago.

In one sitting? Wow, it must be really good. How long is it?

Outward. Received it yesterday as an early New Year gift and have already spent about 6 hours in it; while I usually prefer story-rich RPGs, this one is still pretty enjoyable (almost unexpectedly so). The only thing [irrepairable by mods] I don't like at all is its overly serious tone, but it's often compensated by unintentional comedy (killing an oversized chicken with a huge spear in its butt while wearing a crinoline dress and a knight helmet is as ridiculous as it sounds, but fun!).

Also, I'm 144 hours into Skyrim and haven't finished the main quest or civil war (damn those mods). It's obscenely huge, and I have to admit that I might be tired of it.

Also, Globesweeper is still my favourite casual game / timekiller. Love it.

fussing about with Dishonored yet still. almost done with the final Daud DLC in High Chaos, then i need to decide if i'm going to take a break with a different game before going for all the stealth stuff in a new run, or just start Low Chaos immediately. [shrug emoji]

A full stealth / non-lethal playthrough of Dishonored is some of the most fun I've had with a game. I thought I didn't like stealth games, but Dishonored taught me that I actually love stealth games when they're done well and make you feel powerful.

i absolutely adored doing a pacifist run in deus ex human rev so i'm expecting to really enjoy doing the same with dishonored. actually intended to do a stealth run right out of the gate but the controls confused me and i kept accidentally decapitating guards until i decided to just embrace it and learn the controls while wreaking the most havoc.

Oh, yeah, the beginning is the hardest to stealth through, particularly when you're just trying to learn the controls. I restarted after finishing that first tutorial level so I could sneak through, and I think it was one of the hardest levels to actually sneak through.

I haven't played Deus Ex HR yet, but now you have me contemplating trying a pacifist run when I do. :)

yeah, you don't even have the powers yet, so no blinking past people while cackling about your stealthy supremacy. the only level i'm not looking forward to replaying, lol.

human rev is really fun going for pacifist! i played on normal difficulty and gave up half-way on the no alert thing cos i was restarting all the time, but otherwise it was just stun-gunning and take-downing to my hearts' content. a+, do recommend.

Halo Reach (Game Pass), a lot of it. And I'm Enjoying it quiet a bit but it is still baffling to me that this game shipped without a server browser. Seeing people drop out of Big Team Battle (imo Reach biggest appeal, I always preferred Halo 3 for competitive) really makes you appreciate all the things the guys behind ElDewrito did. Fingers crossed that we will see an official implementation soon. DMR start in 4v4's is another one of my gripes because starting out with such a potent weapon feels at odd with the concept of an arena shooter (it is not as terrible as Halo 4's loadouts but it isn't much better either).

Shovel Knight: King of Cards. As much as I love Shovel Knight and the other knights ... so far I struggle to enjoy the unique mechanics in this game. They feel a bit clunky and way less fluid than the previous Knights mechanics.

Tekken 7 - and finding it lackluster. it's weird, I know it's a technically better fighting game, but it doesn't seem as fulfulling as SoulCalibur or Mortal Kombat.
Surviving Mars - just started it, so no comments yet
Slay the Spire - I don't get the hype

I'm playing Blasphemous when I'm on my PC, Girls Frontline when I'm on my phone, and Control/Shadow of the Tomb Raider when I'm on my PS4. I have a Switch, but I haven't touched it in months unfortunately. Too many games, not enough time.
