No he shouldn't. The reason is that he need people that are FAMILIAR with the gameplay process to try it, to tell they opinion and catch bugs. Any other should play original game, it's not some kind of free giveaway.

Exactly...

Beta testing nowadays is just ridiculous. Barely anyone actually tests the game and searches for bugs and other issues. They all just see it as a free way to play games before they're released and then because there are still bugs present they complain about the game being buggy and tell people it's not worth buying once it actually releases..

Really? I've only been invited to one closed beta test (Maplestory iTCG).. Was fun, really buggy, but shut down before release..

CS:S sold me and to save a few dollars I bought the CS:S+Gmod combo. Definitely don't regret it. I've ended up logging more hours on Garrys Mod than on CS:S.

I still do but only when the game in question does not have a demo and none of my friends own it. I typically try it for about half an hour and then usually end up buying the game. But this occurrence happens on a yearly basis. I still feel kind of guilty though!
