Submitting your own screenshot for next month's contest.
You have three options to submit your shot. You can do it in the dedicated channel in the SGM Discord server (which is open for everyone, not just members of the group), in the Steam group's dedicated thread for it, or by replying to this comment.
Any of these options will work, but please do not post your shot in all of them at the same time! You are free to post your submissions while voting is in progress, your submission will be featured in the next one.
There are few simple rules you must follow:
1. Only one submission per month! However you can change the shot before the voting poll has been made, just edit your comment with the new screenshot. If you post multiple times with different screenshots, only the most recent one is accepted and the others ignored.
2. The screenshot has to be something you took yourself. It does not matter if it's old or new, just as long that it is yours! Non-Steam games are also allowed.
3. Screenshots should have (roughly) 16:9 aspect ratio. Otherwise we will need to crop them to fit the magazine display.
4. Be sure to include the name of the game with your submission.
5. No heavily edited screenshots. Modern photo modes have high variety of ways to edit screenshots but we will reject submissions that have been edited too much. Little bit of editing is acceptable, but if you make your shot look like a promotional poster then it will not be accepted for the contest.
6. No pornographic content. We've elected to allow nudity to an extent, but no shots from porn simulator or hentai games, etc. basically if you would not expect to see the shot in a real gaming magazine, don't submit it.
Failure to follow rules will simply lead to your submission being ignored.

Congratulations to everyone that submitted, there are some really good entries. I like the contrast between ultra-realistic games (Horizon, Forza) and the stylized ones (Lil Gator Game), each one beautiful in its own sense

Even right-clicking only results in 400x225 resolutions. Really not the best way to showcase screenshots.

That's odd, they open for me as 1280x720 even if I'm not logged in. Perhaps it's some browser based issue? Well, I've attached the screenshots in the thread as well if someone else has the same problem.

There's a lot of great screenshots here. I can't place what it is, but there's something about the Taxi screenshot that got me to vote for it.

If you're wondering what this is about, you should go check out the [Central Hub] for the (Unofficial) SteamGifts Magazine.
In short, it's a monthly digital gaming magazine made by members of the SG community for everyone to enjoy. Part of the magazine's format will include a Screenshot of the Month display, and this topic is where you can all vote on the winner for the next issue. The winner will received their own page in the magazine and three runner-ups will get to be featured as well. There is no prize aside from the prestige of having your screenshot featured for all to see and this is all just for fun.
The voting itself will take place on Strawpoll in order to keep the results of the poll hidden. We want the winner of the contest to be a surprise after all! You do not need to register in order to vote. Each time a new poll is made, the voting period lasts roughly one week. We don't expect the topic to see much traffic when it comes to comments, so to avoid spamming unnecessarily, I'm using the same topic each time. I will update the link in this post with a new one each time and update the title as well when bumping the topic.
