What is your favorite dark souls franchise game?

I hate too many mechanics from DS2 to like this game.

Not sure. I played them all. Never could beat 1 due to the Four Kings. 2 was the retarded cousin as it was TOO easy, even for me and I SUCK at gaming. Currently playing 3 and stuck in Anor Londo, as usual.

Only played DS1 on pc and i'm now playing deampn souls on ps3

All of them are trash because I'm a casul :v

For characters/lore, DS1 (and DS3, but only because of Greirat and the callbacks to DS1). For gameplay, DS2 (being able to make enemies I hate permanently disappear did a lot for my sanity). For bosses, both, because both games had some really cool battles and some crap ones.

Otherwise, I find DS3 to be the most polished, but DS1 had superior level design and DS2 the best PVP.

I tried multiple times in the past to get into DS1 and although its level design is less linear than 3's(not an inherent positive imo, matter of opinion) I just found the combat to feel so lethargic, like moving through molasses. I'm glad 3 took notes from Bloodborne and sped it up a bit. After playing 3 though I did come to have an appreciation for 1 and while I've beaten 3 nearly 10 times and 1 only once, I do look forward to playing 1 again with the remaster.
