Free GOTY Upgrade for Existing Borderlands Players on Steam (April 3rd)

Just played it for half an hour, i get below 60 fps in some fight i.e. nine toes. I have a RTX 2080.

Doesn't feel too bad...

Can't say no to free.

Just gave a Humble Borderlands key to a friend, and it still instantly redeems the enhanced version, too.

Would redeeming the old version now still add the enhanced version to the Steam library? Can someone confirm the above?

So anyone played this yet? Is it even worth the time and effort to download and replay this?

I've finished this twice using 2 characters years ago.

It looks like this was developed by Blind Squirrel instead of Gearbox. Blind Squirrel was also behind the (buggy) remasters of Bioshock 1 & 2 so that explains why this Borderlands remaster is also pretty buggy at the moment.

I played BL2 before playing Bl1 so it was harder for me to get into because it wasn't as good or as polished as BL2 and had some really annoying issues, like the low FOV which couldn't be changed in-game. There was a tweak you could do to the files to change the FOV except it would reset everytime you got in/out of a vehicle so you had to assign a keybind just for the FOV and manually press everytime it reset, which got old fast. I think I was like half or 3/4 of the way through before I stopped playing.

I just started playing again and it feels better since they added an FOV slider, automatic cash/ammo pickups when walking by, and apparently a mini-map which I thought it already had but I guess not. Also I installed Reshade to transform the dull graphics into something that really pops so that improves the game a lot. I think I might finish the game this time around. But it's still not better than BL2.

I already had Borderlands GOTY and I received Borderlands GOTY Enhanced. I created a new characted and didnt receive any keys. I also tried installing both Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and logged into shift. I then created a new character in GOTY Enhanced and still nothing. Anyone else is having this problem?
