Hi everyone!

I'm going to buy Dishonored (it's actually on sale) but I hesitate between normal edition and the definitive edition. My budget is tight and I would like to know if definitive edition worth its 6+ euros ? Should I take the Normal edition ?

Thanks!

Yes, definitely. I even loved the DLCs more than the base game actually.

Well, at least * can go backwards. An F-15 can't.

Fill the * with what correspond

Check RAGE too. It's cheap atm and it's quite good for the price. I don't know if the problems with textures been fixed or not, since I can't buy it as the cc is dead.

i agree RAGE was one of the best FPS games i ever played. shame it wasnt longer. and double shame its so underrated

Get Dunwall's Knife and Brigmore Witches, the other ones are kinda worthless unless you are an achievement collector or like challenges.

Buying the base game plus those two is only 8c cheaper than the DE. At that point you may as well just get everything.

Well yeah, but I think all of us did not consider the different regional prices. So it solely depends on the region you are if you should go for the Definitive Edition or just the story DLCs.

At this price for the definitive edition, it's okay.

Buy the normal edition, watch a youtube walkthrough of the DLCs. Save that money for Dishonored 2.

No it isn't. It's the base game + DLCs = GOTY. Now they named it definitive and increased its price.

Increased the price? GOTY was $19.99 and never got more than 67% off iirc.

Are DLCs multiplayer only and/or cosmetic items?

No: Buy the entire pack
Yes: Buy the story content only

You can safely use this formula for almost any games. So far the only game I know as an exception is Mafia 2.

Unless you play multi-player.

True, albeit MP in SP-focused games is rarely alive long enough. I mean, for example, how many people know that Tomb Raider 2013 even had multiplayer? :)

Knife of Dunwall and Brigmre Witches are SP. Dunwall City Trials is a trial mode that like MP a lot of people would probably choose to skip. Void Wallers Arsenal is the pre-ordered packs and includes extra currency and skill items which is barely a step up from cosmetics.

Buying the base game and the two SP campaign(s) is only $0.08 cheaper than the DE. Basically, you forgot to account for Bethesda pricing in your formula. As far as Bethesda goes it's almost always cheaper to buy the complete pack, even when you already own the base game and just need the DLC.

For sure, worth it if you have not played the game yet.
