Why put up a giveaway for 4 weeks? 1 week is plenty of time.

Ask the people who do it. On the other hand why 1 week, when 1 hour is enough? So more people can join I guess.

Maybe some people don't have the points to join, so the 4 weeks giveaways let them accumulate more points so they can.

True. 1 week I can understand because not everyone can check the site every day or even every other day. However 4 weeks is a long time, and for a game worth 10 points? Maybe I'm just being picky. Also does it seem like there are people that just join every giveaway without actually caring what game it is? Maybe it's just me but I only use points for games I want. I'd hate to win a game I'll never play and take it from someone who really wants it.

We need more people like you.

There are people who just want to win stuff, regardless of the fact they truly want it or not. Like you, I only join for stuff that I want or at least am curious about(i.e. stuff with a lot of praise). When I see something I don't really want I think that others might enjoy it more than me.
