Does LA noire have a good story?

The game is okay but not great. If you want a game where you do an investigation on the crime scene and where you have to think and have the risk to fail then don´t buy. This game will hold your hand and wont let you fail, this means you can´t arrest the wrong guy, you can even miss most evidence and have al questions wrong and still win, so it is more like a score attack investigation game.
The game is slow, specially at the begining, and at times dull, unless you are really ok with the gameplay. The game is also locked at 30 FPS which can be anoying to people like me.
The DLC is integrated in the story, which is cool if you buy the complete pack.
The story is ok, not great but not bad, would be better if it was better paced.

The game took me with all the DLC about 26 hours, you can do it in less time depending your playstile.

It's a good game, worth playing, but only one time around - quite easy, average pase, and a bit repetitive. Fun for a bit, then you'll probably put it down and rarely (if not never) play again. Stories are like mini investigations, sometimes with a little twist to keep it interesting. However, just doesn't really have replay value or a big hook to keep you coming back. There was no lag, max resolution, smooth gameplay for me. Facial animation is great, you need to read it and figure out lies, etc (in most cases this is very easy).

The story is good, with cliffhangers and the like. I spent most of my time fondling dead people, though.

The story is decent, gameplay and missions truly awesome. Facial expressions, just wow. Loved the game, just like a real game should be :)

Yes, at a matter of fact it has. Ti be honest at the beginning I was bored, but than the thing has got really intense, especially the scene with Japanese Schoolgirls Parade and the chainsaw-wielding mormons fight. And of course the moment when Mecha-Hitler showed up was just plain awesome.

I wanted to like it more, but found the game-play too slow to hold my interest. … Guess the career of a detective ain't for me!

The facial animations (and setting details for the era) are fantastic, tho!
