Bump! Thank you for your service, I know oftentimes mods aren't as appreciated as they should be here.

So I've been around for almost 9 years now and I think I can safely state Steamgifts has become part of my daily routine. Looking back at those years I see a pattern that resembles something of a life cyclus:
first year: baby steps.
first days: Not sure if this site's a scam, entering the first 100 giveaways or so without winning a thing... Not sure what the rules are. Not sure what to think of the community with all the little inside jokes... Just lurking around a bit.
10th day: first giveaway. What the hell, why not? That's what this is all about right?
3th month: first win!. Where were my manners? I didn't even thank the giveaway creator! So not done... :(
year 2-5: enthousiastic teenage years
after a slow first year now picking up speed on the giveaways, reaching one milestone after another; the 100th, 250th, 500th, 1000th, 1500th, 2000th giveaway... Winning gets more frequent too; finding the time to actually play the won games gets harder as the backlog builds... Especially because a lot of the free time goes to participating in the forum discussions, creating trains, events and puzzles...
year 5-9: maturity kicks in
After a final push to win steamgifts I find myself in a midlifecrisis: and now what? The pace of the giveways slows down and shouldn't I also do things in real life? Luckily there's the always understaffed support team where the built up understanding of the community and its members can be put to good use...
year 9-?: retirement (& death?)
Real life gets more and more demanding and after the new batch of moderators was announced it felt like the right time to retire (to be honest I wasn't that active as a moderator any more in the last months...) so I asked CG to make me a normal 'member' again. It was an honor serving you all! :)
you might find a giveaway here and there if you pay attention; 8 in total, all lvl 0 with no region restrictions
