I too lost my dog of 10 yrs, last September. I still can't get over the loss myself, and my family cannot bring themselves to get another pet.

I know how that feels... It stings very much. Sorry about your loss, and at least you had a cat who lived a happy life because of you - out of stress and trouble. It's a small relief at a time like this, but it's a good deed done nonetheless.

It's always so hard when it comes to pets innit? From my experience, it does actually help to find another one to adopt. You aren't even replacing the one you lost, because they all have such unique personalities, but rather you're taking good care of another who needs a nice cozy home.

With all these birthday topics around full of joy and happiness, the great misery befell me and my family.
My poor cat died recently and hereby I declare the rest of this month as June of Sadness.
Our family always loved both cats and dogs but this cat was special to me - he was MINE.
I have chosen him out of the pack of young kittens, raised him, fed him, played with him and he returned his love to me with the most precious thing any animal can offer - his trust.
He came to me every night to sleep with me while purring all the time to bring me to sleep, he did me company and was my valuable friend in times of my loneliness.
Rest in Peace, my friend.
