Hi Guys,

I asked the question 7 years ago and I would like to know how you sort your Steam library today?

It is even more streamlined than last time (see picture). But, honestly, I now use Playnite, and there are so many useful filters there (by Tag, by HLTB Time, by Genre, etc.) that categorizing on Steam is nearly irrelevant to me these days.

Active - All the games I have installed right now
To Play - Unstarted
Started - Games I have not sufficiently played to have a real sense of them
Played - Games I have played sufficiently, but not completed
Completed - Games I have completed the story of, or multiplayer games I consider I have 'mastered'-ish
Local Multiplayer - Any game with shared/split-screen
Online Multiplayer - Any game with online coop/vs
Party - Games we can play when inviting friends over (subset of local-multi)
Game Day - Games if I'm having a virtual party (subset of online-multi)
Queue - Games I will play next (even though some have been there for ages...)
Software - Mods, engines, etc.
Steamgifts - All the games I won in here
Playing Appreciated - Games I got from PA group which I currently need to play
To Sort - Any game that I just got, or games that I am done playing but haven't yet classified

I have an Excel spreadsheet with all my games and keys, and for each game I have the steam rating, the genre, a short description, flags for local and online multi, etc. I use it to easily search by keywords depending on my gaming mood. So anything in To Sort basically means I need to make changes to my spreadsheet. It's quite tedious at times but it's worth it :)
