Just change the original game id with the id of the game you want....

You can also directly insert the command in the console.

This is awesome, but it raises another question for something it does not work for: do you know if there's a way to add games to your wishlist which you already own? I was hoping this would do it, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to want to. The request is posted successfully, but I assume Steam checks to see if the game is already owned before complying.
(For those who will invariably wonder why I want to do this, it's so I will get emails if they go on sale, when I might be inclined to purchase them for friends who want them.)

I presume the reason is to simply keep track of them. I use my Wishlist for a lot more than just tracking actively-available games, and I have non-available games still on it just to remind myself that they were available and may be available elsewhere / in the future.

There are people who give away games removed from Steam. For example, I sent in a ticket to add Raven Squad to the giveaway list 2 months ago so I could give a copy.

do anybody knof how this works today? they must have changed something so this doesnt work anymore for me.
i tried changing this
