You only need to "buy" a single free app. Not all of them. lol. Just click the promo link and "buy" any random free app and you'll get an email saying you got the credit.
The credit isn't like a gift card. It can only be used on products sold and shipped by Amazon and it applies automatically during checkout. The credit does have an expiration date as well(I forget when though. I think it was late February? shrug)

I don't see anywhere the Amazon Prime app, or Amazon Underground app, its not on Play Store in my country, where to get it?

edit: it appears now, if I try to buy something, it discounts $5 from purchase.
Edit2: Also discount doesn't work with all items, it works with some but not with others, it won't work with this for example http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0051MQJWU I was just testing different items. try if it works for you maybe? If it doesn't then I suppose credit is for the items sold by Amazon directly, but not for items that are sold by other stores through Amazon, like that items sold by "O' MY GAMES" as it says, at least for Amazon Prime Free Shipping it was like that, it didn't work with items not sold by Amazon directly.

There appears to be two promotions.
When I first did this I downloaded an app using the Amazon Underground app and I got an email telling me that I got a $5 credit. No referral stuff was required. It appears in the checkout process as "Underground Promo" and it can't be used on digital items.
Then I tried to help someone else do this and it asked them to do the referral stuff in order to get the $5 promo. So I sent the referral code to myself. It said I would also get a $5 promo for using their referral code. Now when I look at the checkout process I see an additional $5 promo called "Amazon App Referral". This promo appears to work for digital items. Although, I have not actually completed a purchase to see if promos will be successful on digital items.
I am unsure what steps are needed to get the Underground Promo that gives you an instant credit.
It looks like if you purchase this free app from this link in your browser it will give you the instant Underground Promo without using the Underground App. http://www.amazon.com/Loud-Crow-Interactive-Inc-Christmas/dp/B00YD2DD32/
=Edit= It is possible that you need to have previously used the Underground App on your account for the link above to work. I can't verify because I have already used the app before.
Also, if I add both a digital and physical item to my cart the Amazon App Referral doubles to $10.

Guys, you can use the web RAKESHBRO posted in the first page (reply to my comment) to get the credit. I didn't have to download all of them but had almost all of them already on my account so didn't have to do much.
