For a moment I was mad that I've just bought AoE II DE, but it's III which I did NOT buy, haha. Nice, thanks for the info!

Maybe worth noting in the title that's it's not a full game, though.

It's a limited feature (ie, demo) version of the game. The developers even specifically refer to it as "the trial version of the game".
It's just an announcement of release for the demo mode, there's no deal or limited time offer here.
(ie, this is a miscategorized General topic, not a Deals topic, so no need to stress over trying to claim anything.)
Seems to be about as much single player content available as you'd expect from a typical demo.

I have my original CD for AoE3. It was decent but I don't remember it being all that great.

I'm aware it's got some added stuff but it seems mostly like bloat to me.

I wouldn't say bloat but it definitely needs an optimization. Also they ruined the game, it's nothing like the original.

i played all 3 aoe games and definitive only the first one
aoe:de is great, an enhanced version of what i remember first playing, i don't remember having performance issues with it, most likely they messed up with 3

I would remove FREE tag because that is usually refered to free to keep and not demo/trials.
Use [F2P] instead.

tl;dr: Pool of 3 Playable Civilizations on a Rotating Schedule. First civilization rotation is on August 18th.

you should see a "remove" button, unless maybe it comes from the steamdb extension which I'm using
