stupid dota 2 spectator mode

so...a while back steam told me that i allready own a copy of dota 2...i installed it, just to find out that it was the spectator mode...
now i can't join the giveaways because the game "exists in my account"

the sad thing is that i'm not the only one in this situation

let me please hear a symphony of worlds smallest violins for me and my brothers/sisters in suffering

installed the Voyeur Edition like you and now I'm nailed, I removed it, deleted blobs, registry stuff, etc and no go

You aren't missing much. I don't get all the hype over Dota. I'm totally unimpressed. Or, just uninstall the spectator client. Or even better, just enter for the free beta keys on Steam. They hand them out like candy as it is.
