Hey, I own basic skyrim, since the owners of skyrim and it's DLC's will get a ''free'' upgrade, I was wondering if purchasing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - 3 DLC Pack Steam CD Key from a grey market site would upgrade my game. Probably yes right? (I know everyone hates Grey Market sites, I don't like them either, but everyone is overpricing the Skyrim: LE for 9-14 keys and these 3 DLC's only cost 8 euro.)

If you own Skyrim with all the DLCs on steam you will get the Special Edition when it comes out, there is no defined Skyrim Legendary Edition, it is simply a bundle on steam that includes the base game and its DLCs

What I meant is that Skyrim with all DLCs is Skyrim Legendary Edition on steam, it doesnt have a standalone Legendary Edition, where you get Fallout 3 that when you buy the base game you buy the DLCs separately, but there is also a GOTY edition that is the base game + the DLCs and is a separate game in your library (it has its own steamid where skyrim and skyrim legendary are both the same game, just one with and one without DLCs)

PPS I was referring to the Steam version, the "Legendary Edition" on steam is a bundle including Skyrim and the DLCs , not a altogether different game

yes it will. i did for me. only thing is you do not get a free copy of basic skyrim..

so you have normal
then get legendary
now you have skyrim + 3 dlc
not skyrim(hadbefore) + dlc and skyrim basic.
get it? i think i explained that correctly.

Well this bundle is simply a CD key for the DlC's I can't find it at any legit retailers though.

There are only three paid DLCs for Skyrim, so I would think this would qualify you for the Special Edition.

So long as you have all the DLC, then yes. Only the 3 were made. Dragonborn, Dawnguard and Hearthfire.
