Borderlands is an Ego Shooter. The focus of the series is "Kill the hordes of enemies we throw at you while laughing at dark humor". This Trailer didnt look like that.

I got a Fallout vibe the instant the trailer started, so I was not surprised to see a bunch of people behind Fallout working on it. Unfortunately I was never really a fan of Fallout (Que the blacklists), so I actually didn't really get excited when I saw this trailer. I do like a few other Obsidian games though, so it's definitely a title I'll be keeping an eye on.
